~ Texoma Toys for Tots is an ALL volunteer program ~ 

Christmas is a time of joy, happiness, and goodwill. It is a time of giving and helping those who are less fortunate than ourselves, especially impoverished children. For the past 64 years, one organization - the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve - is the unchallenged leader in looking after America's needy children at Christmas.

Campaigns begin in October and last until December 21st. Caring Americans drop off new, unwrapped toys at collection boxes in local businesses. Marines pick up these toys and store them in a central warehouse where they sort them by age and gender. As Christmas nears, Marines distribute toys to local social welfare agencies and churches for ultimate distribution to needy children on Christmas Day.

While Marines organize, coordinate and manage the program, the ultimate success depends on the support of the local community and generosity of the people who donate toys.
